SPCH 5230 - Adult Neurogenic Disorders I

2 credit hours

This course will discuss theoretical issues related to neurogenic disorders, differential diagnosis, and treatment of adult neurogenic language and speech disorders including aphasia, right hemisphere disorders, apraxia, and dysarthria.  Discussion of acquired neurological disorders will include symptomatology, etiology, management, prognosis, and recovery.  Prerequisites: to be taken in conjunction with SPCH 5210 and SPCH 5220
