ATRN 8010 - Research Methods & Design 3 credit hours
The purpose of this course is to provide the athletic trainer with a survey of relevant concepts, knowledge, and tools related to research methodology. An understanding of major considerations in designing a research study and common research methodologies is essential for all modern healthcare professionals, particularly within the context of evidence-based practice. In addition, this course will provide the athletic trainer with the fundamental knowledge to design a study in support of their applied research project.
* Course may be transferable if completed prior to the DAT program as a part of ATSU’s Master of Science in Athletic Training (M) or the Certificate in Clinical Decision Making in Athletic (C). Please see the Advanced Standing section of the DAT program section.
