OCTH 6530 - Practice Immersion II: Children & Youth

The course will introduce students to aspects of the occupational therapy process in a variety of pediatric settings with special attention to family-centered care and collaborations with other professionals. Typical and atypical development will be discussed within the context of community, family, and school environments. Students will explore occupational therapy process with children and youth, relevant theories, models and frames of reference, and learn evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines.
