AUD 790 - Pediatric Audiology

This module is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of pediatric audiology. This eight-week module includes an introduction to ear embryology, developmental theory and milestones, identification and intervention of newborn hearing loss, appropriate use of diagnostic tests, and the development of a parent resource packet. In addition, skills and knowledge will be gained which will be essential in the use of family counseling and access to multidisciplinary resources. (2 credits)
