MHAD 6620 - Patient Safety
3 credit hours
Students examine patient safety concepts, principles, and practices relevant to healthcare delivery across the continuum of care. Learners analyze approaches to patient safety culture, apply systems thinking principles, and use tools for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient safety programs. The course includes a fieldwork assignment that students complete in person or virtually within a healthcare setting.
