DHAD 7000 - Leadership and Practice

3 credit hours

Students examine theoretical and contemporary perspectives on leadership in healthcare practice. Learners connect leadership frameworks to personal leadership competency development and apply them to professional roles and organizational contexts. Students also consider the features and benefits of involvement with professional healthcare organizations, such as the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), as part of ongoing leadership growth. This course includes a field-work assignment that can be completed in-person or virtually.
