ATRN 8010 - Research Methods & Design


3 credit hours

The purpose of this course is to provide the athletic trainer with a survey of relevant concepts, knowledge, and tools related to research methodology. An understanding of major considerations in designing a research study and common research methodologies is essential for all modern healthcare professionals, particularly within the context of evidence-based practice. In addition, this course will provide the athletic trainer with the fundamental knowledge to design a study in support of their applied research project. * Course may be transferable if completed prior to the DAT program as a part of ATSU’s Master of Science in Athletic Training (M) or the Certificate in Clinical Decision Making in Athletic (C).
