MSNP 5300 - Comprehensive Health Assessment

3 credit hours

Students use a variety of assessments to learn how information improves the quality of care and health outcomes for diverse patients, families, communities, and populations across the lifespan. Focus is on the assessment process (including clinical, physical, and medication), illness prevention, population health, health promotion/wellness, and social determinants of health. Students build skills in therapeutic communication, motivational interviewing, interpretation of data, diagnostic reasoning, respect for and valuing whole person healthcare, and collaborative development of holistic plans of care.
